So excited... my cousin and her family all the way from belgium is coming to our place for CNY gathering !!! Oh oh, what shall I prepare... chinese food??? western meal??? or japanese rolls??? hmm... with my busy scheduele I'm unable to cook a fantastic feast for them... finally, I whip up some fast cook finger food, all throw into the oven and cook ;) Mini size hawaii pizza specially made for Little Shana, Ying Yang 2 different flavour pizza and chicken wings solved my cooking problem :p Simple and nice food serve them all :)

Japanese Sweet Potatoes Buns

I bought these buns from four leaves bakery @ thomson plaza... the label: Japanese Sweet Potatoe Bun already attracted me to grab 1 or 2 on the tray... plus its finishing looks like real sweet potatoes is really applausing... A bite in your mouth is a Thumb Up! for this bun!!! Yumyum!!! Must try!!!

CNY Reunion Dinner

After all our spring cleanings and preparations for coming Chinese New Year... wo...a tiring one though..well, we feel good after all cos everything is done on time :) Here's our reunion dinner, sitting together, eating together, talking together and sharing together :) As for me, I have to rush down to help Mum after the dinner @ her stall :) Our reunion dinner with my brothers and Mum have to push forward another day... no choice lah... but we had a great time together :)

This is the fun cny cookies we ever made... my sis in law introduced this butter cookie recipe and share with me ;) It has very buttery and milky taste and it smell good too! Though moulding is time consuming cos it required good moulding and gripping skill to make the pig's face shapes...Not only that, from the green colouring dough, we created wasabi flavour cookies!!! Oh yes, we had fun making these cookies, of cos we will create more different flavours for our next cookies session ya ;)
Also, I wana take this opportunity to wish everybody a PIGGY LUCKY CHINESE NEW YEAR Ahead!!! Gong Xi Fa Cai!!! Cheers!

Ta Cai???

I bought this vegetable from Chong Pang Wet Market... it looks like a flower to me...look @ the way it grows... the little vegetables grow in the concentric growth patterns around its heart, nice pattern huh :) It's from China and its name is "TA CAI" in chinese, maybe we call it "Tower Vegetable" ;) Well, I cooked it with chopped garlic and olive oil, with dash of salt and sugar... hmm... it taste like "Bai Cai" ;)

Finally, I have some quality time for my painting... My mind is working with the colours and water... and it makes water-colour a graceful work of art... sometimes I feel I'm too detail... and I spend too much time on one particular part of the artwork... sometimes I'm so distracted by things around me- Joeel, my work and housechores... never-ending... it's really a test for me, to make me focus, focus on my painting... to see my hand works a wonder on the paper... and make my eyes believe and my heart touch...
