Singapore International Kite Day 2011
We were cordially invited by SKA to fly kites at the Marina Barrage on February 13th Sunday! We were so excited and asked our friends along to witness the GIANT SIZE kites fly by the masters from all over the world! The Kweks came with their friends and the Fongers who just came back from Australia of 2 years last minute joined us! 5yo Tyler was a little shy, was amazed by the GIANT SIZE kites! His fav was the "super mario" kite which he'd named it as! There were giant fish, octopus, cone shape patterned kites, etc! The longest dragon kite we were trying to fly it up to the sky but the wind turbulence was too strong, so it didn't make it to the sky... After the event, Joeel let the big boys flied a lifter kite in the sky, the boys were underestimated the wind and it almost lifted them UP! Wo! Yes, we'd fun, the Fonger's first time attending this event and expressed that they enjoyed themselves! Had a fantastic dinner with the Fongers at Kenny Roger restaurant and update with their statues in Singapore. Hope they will find their new nest soon!
