It's always so convenient to prepare a steamboat for twosome like me and Joeel. Simple ingredients like mushrooms, bean sprouts, cabbages, carrots, fishcakes, lean pork meat, shrimps and an egg solve our dinner's problem especially when I'm so lazy to cook on Sundays...(Partly Joe also bugging me to cook steamboat lah :s) You can add your favourite vegatable, meat and seafood with any soup base of your choice that suit your taste... Don't forget to go with fragrant white rice and your favourite sauce ;) It's very easy and very healthy too :) Oh yea, thanks to my brothers' birthday present, it's very useful :)

It was quite a last minute change of mind not to cook today due to last minute art materials replenish for today's art classes. Thanks to our bro Vin who gave us a lift to buy art materials and lunch together. Usually, after my art classes I will have dinner ready and prepared earlier before my work... Today, Joe prepared steamboat for me! I'm so touched, he even waited for me and dine together...Gosh, he saved my life from hunger... hahaha...
Wow...you used the traditional method. Alan also like steamboat alot, whenever he craves for one, I'd head down to the supermart to hunt for shabu shabu pork, fresh shitake mushrooms and chicken bones (for the soup base). But we not so traditional, we use the mini electric steamboat....also very OISHII neh! - patrina
